Only KANJIDIC-derived meanings, readings, stroke counts and grades are used.
No WaniKani fields or inferred JLPT levels are included.

Changes: selection of fields; grouping into chapters; normalization of kana
and the four official Joyo glyph forms (with common variants retained);
addition of mechanically generated romaji. Attribution does not imply
endorsement. Dictionary readings are not restricted to the official Joyo
reading table. Grade groups reflect this source snapshot, not the revised
2020 school allocation. Data is provided without warranty.

Update procedure: before deployment and at least monthly for a public
dictionary service, check the KANJIDIC project and upstream conversion for
updates, update the pinned revision in scripts/build-kanji-lessons.js, rebuild
and run the content/quiz tests. If upstream has not incorporated the current
KANJIDIC release, refresh its conversion from the current KANJIDIC source
